Balance can be defined in different ways, such as strength, economy, and difficulty. These factors cannot be optimized without testing, that is why a game designer has to love games in order to make games. Also, I enjoy the time when I test the game on different players, see how they react and collect their feedbacks, which makes me feel like it is worthy to put all that efforts.
Every successful game in the market has its special features in order to attract players, it could be game mechanism, playing comforts, graphics, or even narrative/setting of the game. I love to try different ideas that I thought or experienced and add them into the game.
